Heart Diseases: Using Technology to fights back

Along with the improvement of people's living standards and the change of dietary patterns, hyperlipoidemia, hyperlipaemia and hyperglycaemia have become a global phenomenon. The death rate resultant from coronary heart diseases, myocardial infarctions, cerebral thrombosis, cerebral infarctions and other cardiovascular and cerebro-vascular diseases has been increasing each year. So far, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases have been one of the most serious diseases threatening human health in the modern world.

South African technology start-up, M.inv and renowned Chinese medical equipment manufacturer, Wuhan HNC Technology Co think this trend can be curbed by using more innovative methods for treatment and prevention.

Introducing the HNC Laseti cardio watch. The Laseti combines the painstaking efforts of well-known cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease medical authorities and independent medical experts to merge the essence of Chinese and Western medical practices. It creatively achieves the simultaneous irradiation of wrist radial arteries, neiguan acupoint and nasal cavity. It has been CLINICALLY PROVEN by many hospitals for the treatment of hyperviscosemia, hyperlipaemia, ischemic cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and various rhinitis.

"The partnership with HNC represents a great opportunity for us. We would like to re-design, re-launch and, most importantly, price-down the current device to make it more affordable to those who need it." said Mr. Michael Mashiane, CEO of M.inv. "We are well-aware of the plight and teaming up with HNC will certainly put us at the forefront of this fight."

"They have developed many globally-recognized semiconductor laser instruments and other medical products. Their factories have very high-quality output and their commitment to becoming a flagship enterprise of the health industry is unwavering. We can only hope we will get the response we are looking for this project (HNC Laseti Cardio Watch - home green physiotherapy) on IndieGOGO in order to achieve our objectives", Mr. Mashiane said.

High blood pressure and high "bad" (or LDL) cholesterol levels increase the risk of heart disease, the No. 1  killer worldwide, claiming more than 17 million lives each year worldwide, according to the World Health Organization. For examples, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says more than 800,000 Americans die from cardiovascular disease annually, 150,000 of them are under the age of 65.

Facts on High Cholesterol:

·         71 million or 33.5% of adults 20 and older have high bad cholesterol levels
·         34 million (48.1%) are getting treatment and only 23 million (33.2%) have their cholesterol levels under control

Mashiane Investments (M.inv), founded in 2010 and based in Pretoria, South Africa, provides marketing and distribution services for many manufacturers that are based in China. They have strong, established relationships and business networks built over the years that make it easier to collaborate on projects.
